God Hates Chick-Fil-A

Congratulations to Chick-Fil-A, the new corporate symbol for Christian homophobia.

Congratulations to Chick-Fil-A, the new symbol for corporate Christian homophobia.

(I, Robert Cargill, made this mash-up.)

The mash-up below I found on the internet.

  1. The now-famous interview with the head of the company was given wide publicity by the Rev. Dr. Micky Huckabee, former governor or Arkansas. who is trying desperately (and he may succeed) in casting the company in the role of *victim* of what Rev. Dr. Huckabee calls “militant homosexuals” [sic].

. . . in Huckabee’s part of the country, the company is better known as “Squirrel-Fil-A”.

  2. Where’s the “tolerance” to which the left claims sole ownership? The owners of Chick – fil – A just don’t want the Government forcing them to go against their religious beliefs. Are we only supposed to be tolerant of views with which we agree? The real test of a person’s capacity for tolerance is tolerating views with which they disagree.

Instead of tolerance, we see only virulent hatred for a company and its owners who wish to follow the dictates of their own consciences. If you don’t agree with Chick-fil-A’s position, you are free to eat somewhere else – you don’t need to bring in the villagers with pitchforks and torches.

As for comparing Chick-fil-A with the Westboro “Baptist” Church (aka The Church of the Inbred Jeds), that kind of hyperbole is unbecoming of someone of your intelligence. It’s over the top, and you know it. I am a bit disappointed, frankly.

  3. [...] and to do so not only for a year. But I scarcely know where to begin. And what about Chick-fil-A? If I buy those delicious waffle fries, am I contributing to discrimination against gays and lesbians? [...]

  4. Interesting that, per the Right, when a group on the Right organizes a boycott (vs. General Mills, vs. Starbucks, etc.) … it’s OK because “it’s doing God’s Will” (LOL), but when a group on the Left does it, it’s “intolerant”.

    Typical right-wing hypocrisy.

And the claim of the Right that it’s “doing God’s Will” is laughable and childish. . . . but what else would we expect ?

  5. [...] racism and homophobia. And this is why people are so outraged about the Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A scandal. Yes, they are different issues, but they are treated the same in the eyes of many fundamentalists. [...]

  6. I have no idea how I ended up on this site but I am glad I did. I have to say that I find Doc Cargill’s views and opinions righteous! I had no idea that a so called Christian church could still ban weddings on the basis of race, almost as derisory as the U Miss student on the eve of Obama’s election who forever lauded his intellectual promise by announcing, “I mean, goddammit, they call it a White House for a reason…”. Indeed. We all have a way to go yet.
